Not trying to be edgy, it's just the truth. I was 13 and I live in the midwest. It just didn't have the same impact, most people around here didn't care so much. The big news wasn't even the attack or that people died, it was gas going up to $5 for a short amount of time, that's what got most people's attention and that was immediately all people spoke about the following day. When I was 13, I just went to school everyday, chilled with friends and played Diablo II while at home. They didn't even play video or let us watch the news in school, we just carried on like normal.

Weird, i was in the midwest at the time and it appeared to have a major impact. Im sure you at least noticed a massive wave of patriotism in your area. TBH i wasnt super affected at the time either, i was also too young and too focused on video games.
