A dream for believers, a nightmare for non-believers.
Contemplation, prayer, meditation, and exercise.
I won't have to seek shelter.

All that wasted time you'll never get back. This is how Christianity subtly drains the life from it's followers.

Prayer and meditation enhances my life. Time well spent.

No. By wasting their time on pointless pursuits such as prayer. By dulling their minds and robbing them of life and the person they should be.

There's ton of studies on how prayer can help psychological health, and meditation has many positive effects on the brain and the body. Anyone who consistently meditates will confirm the feelings of well being they receive.

I'm willing to bet you've tried meditation and weren't able to do it consistently. It takes patience.

Uhuh...

There are other ways to improve psychological health that don't require your mindless devotion to a deity that is, as far as can be proven, a total fantasy.

I spend the time you spend praying socialising, learning etc. Improving my life.

That's why you're still depressed as fuck and I'm happy as Larry. Because I've made efforts to improve my situation and myself whereas you have wasted time you could have spent creating a better life for yourself going to church, praying and thinking about god.

Communicating with the God of the universe is not mindless and certainly is not a waste of time.

Praying and meditation takes minutes a day, lol. It's just like the hour I spend at the gym, which judging by your personal pic, is a practice you avoid. Meditation is extremely beneficial and makes me a better person.

I'm really not depressed right now... I think it's a seasonal thing. I create a better life every day, and that creating process includes meditation and prayer. Spiritual maturity is a rare gift, especially in Britain. :(

I think we'll have to agree to disagree.

I don't believe you are 'Communicating with the God of the universe'. If you were then no - it wouldn't be a waste of time. As for spiritual maturity... you'd have to define it. I don't believe in spirits or ghosts or souls.
