Please everyone, next time you vote, consider IceMage's feelings.

Humans are moral beings, whether you accept it or not. There is a reason murdering someone has extremely harsh psychological effects.

I accept morals, but I don't accept that feelings define morals.

...religious convictions and opinions on a political and religious sub-forum can not be so readily dismissed . I can't imagine my God holding it to be anything but an abomination of the highest order ; that it has become so commonly accepted as just another form of birth control speaks to the moral depravity of both America and the world as a whole . I do not need a philosophical argument when the moral argument is absolute .

Feelings don't define morals, but they give a clue to the moral nature human beings develop.

So you agree then, burying your relatives is a massive disprespect and should be outlawed.

I disagree that human beings have a moral nature. I would argue that we have a set of instincts designed to keep the species alive that include things like don't kill one another, etc, that are the basis for a lot of our morals. But humans have the capability to think beyond our own instincts. So instincts, feelings, "natural human morals", whatever you like to call them, are moot.

/e And I'm not arguing for abortion, I'm just arguing that saying "I feel it is wrong" is a meaningless statement.

Feelings are inseparable from thoughts and logical thinking.

They are completely separable, and the sign of a good mind is one that is able to do just that.

e/ note I'm not saying that feelings aren't important or that they aren't an aspect of intelligence, but there are situations where one can distance one's feelings from one's thoughts and this is often a very important skill

Quote
In the Middle Ages abortion was considered a cardinal sin.[3] Abortion had been criminalized in France with the imposition of the Napoleonic Code. During the German occupation during World War II, the Vichy régime made abortion a capital crime. The last execution took place in 1942.

lol.

aborption is necessary, especially related to:

- mother took massive drugs and the baby will be fucking retarded/brain issues. - and similar social issues...
- diseases and/or malformations detected up to several weeks after conception. (trisomy etc)

- should i mention there is no more "natural" selection on births and genetical diseases are now able to stack way easier than in middle age ?

now we got ppl talking about 'sin with aborption' while they are openly supporting various wars actions killing thousands children.
those hypocrit morons.
