Was in seventh grade. We turned on the news on the TV (went to private school) and were watching when the second plane hit. My sister lived in new york at the time and worked in the city so I was worried about her. They turned the TV off after the first tower collapsed.

I was in high school at the time. Here on the West Coast, we already knew it was a terrorist attack. I was listening to KFI AM 640 on my way to school and I heard Bill Handle say that the WTC collapsed. Shock turned to vengeance for me.

I was in business class grade 11

i remember hating terrorists and buying into the propaganda

heard about it over the announcements in my geography class, didn't care

my dad however was absolutely thrilled and ordered pizza, it was delicious

I was in like 4th grade or something. I had no idea what the heck was happening. My mom came to get me up and said "Brian come down, they crashed planes into the Twin Towers" which meant literally nothing to me. Saw a replay on the T.V. and still didn't really mean anything to me. I suppose I was just too young to register the impact of something happening on the other side of the country.

Sometimes, it just boggles me to remember how young most of you are.

Ah. Now it's starting to make sense.

not particularly big on 'zomg where were you when' threads (was working in a restaurant, coworker got a call about it, we turned on the tv), but a related story of note is a year or two before a friend and i visited the towers. we were going to go up to the viewing deck, but there was a really long line, so we figured we would come back some other time, because hey, wheres it gonna go? oops.

also, i remember standing next to it and looking up and thinking that it didnt look so tall. but then, i AM 6'5"...

Sept 11 is my birthday lol.

But as I'm from Aus we didn't hear about it until sept 12 when we woke up and our morning cartoons were replaced with coverage of the attacks, much to our dismay.

We still morn the loss of our morning cartoons for that week :'(
