The police are the biggest criminals in this country, with almost complete immunity over their reckless behavior. These actions of theirs are just pathetic coming from a so called "trained" group of people.

...a family member has released a statement that Yalim had no history of mental illness so he was clearly up to no good . Also , although you have been made aware of this many times I will remind you once again that police always shoot to kill so stop with the " shoot him in the leg " nonsense every time you make one of these threads .

i was under the impression non-deadly force is supposed to be implimented before deadly force... and the only occupation that goes from verbal warning to shoot them in the heart and face is the military..

I think all police carry two types of weapons, lethal and non-lethal a.k.a weapons that use rubber bullets or maybe stun guns.

...I read at least 6 stories on this and none of them give any information on what was said or done before the officer fired .

they never do. more than likely the officer went through every protocol before firing, because in all cases with a fatality there is an extensive investigation and any wrong doing on his part would most likely result in criminal charges. well, atleast i assume that he wouldn't be dumb enough to shoot someone who's just standing there with a knife... the guy would have to be either a complete nut case, or an idiot to do otherwise.. what i'm a little curious about is why only the one officer shot??
