As a white kid, I agree. White kids kill themselves over the stupidest shit, I think it has to do with the mentality many of us are brought up with.

Now as for euthanasia, it should be legal, even active euthanasia. Someone with no hope of surviving an illness that causes them terrible pain should have the right to die with some dignity. It should be their choice and only their choice.

As for how this relates to suicide, which is a growing epidemic in our society. I don't agree with the fact that people should who are young and suicidal should have the right to die. These cases are different, these are people who feel a pain which can be healed, it may take time, but it's possible. I can relate to these things. No one who attempted (or came close to attempting) suicide and survived looks back now and says I regret not killing myself.

I think you are a terrible person, we will never know her full reason in doing what she did.

i think some studies were done which showed that people that survived suicide attempts rebounded to great heights - largely due to the volume of positive support they receive once friends/family become aware of their situation


i have zero sympathy for idiots that kill themselves over trivial matters with complete utter disregard for the impact it would have on friends/family

Again, you have no idea why she did it, i will 100% promise you "a guy cancelled a date" is not the underlying issue, at most a trigger.

Euthanasia is Greek for "good death".

I went through a hard time myself when I first came down with my anxiety. At one point I considered ending my life, I told my parents and they brought me to a mental hospital, I'm fine now, life's a swell thing. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

i thought it was pretty explicit that that was the trigger which is also what i'm judging her on as i don't know what other issues she's got going underneath but it's clear she had issues

whatever issues you have, killing yourself is rarely the answer and you have a duty to yourself and those that raised you and those that depend on you to seek help
