I heard he read several books about guns. Can we finally close down the library system that is poisoning our youth?

The guy is so insane that it's almost fascinating though..

Says it's pointless to give him a long jail sentence, and wants either the death penalty (which Norway doesnt have) or nothing, because he says he's proud of what he did and would do it again as soon as he could...

(all this to avoid an even more multi-cultural society)

http://news.bbgsite.com/content/2012-04-19/mass-killer-trained-shooting-skills-on-playing-video-games.shtml

Norwegian mass killer Anders Behring Breivik wanted to capture and decapitate former Norwegian Prime Minister Gro Harlem Brundtland during his shooting massacre on Utoya island, he said.
Breivik told his trial he planned to film the beheading and post the video on the internet - as well as kill all 600 people who were at the Labour Party's youth camp on July 22.
But Brundtland had already left the area as the far-right fanatic began his shooting spree.
The revelation came as Breivik described how he became a deadly marksman by honing his gun skills by playing the violentCall Of Duty: Modern Warfare computer game. The mass killer even bought a special gun sight used on the game - and attached it to the hunting rifle he used for his deadly rampage on a Norwegian island.
Thomas Hylland Eriksen, a professor of social anthropology at the University of Oslo, said such computer games could put Breivik in a state of delusion.

tl;dr but who wants to pass around the idea that video games are a bad influence on people? I enjoy video games once in a while.

you dont become a deadly marksman with a real weapon by playing call of duty lol. how is moving 2 small sticks and hitting buttons to aim/fire anything like holding and sighting down a real weapon? and you can click the joystick button to hold your breath. anyone who would believe this is just stupid.

Halo's better to learn

Sticky grenades are so much more practical, IMO

Really all this guy may have done was use it as a means of practicing tactics (which he could have otherwise done through paintball) and as an information base (e.g. he bought the scope he saw in the game)

I would be extremely hesitant to ever blame a violent act on video games, particularly when movies and TV shows are far more prevalent.
