Well, believing or not believing is a matter of faith. There is something religious in atheism. You believe in something... which is nothing.

Pick a left vs. right issue and let's debate it.

Anyway, the state should be separated from the religion. It should be totally laic.

Atheism is the lack of a belief system. If you want to call it a belief in something, then surely you must also consider not smoking a habit, not getting a tattoo a form of body art, or not wearing green on Saint Patrick's Day a form of national pride.

I'm not sure if this is a left or right issue since there are several court cases that create precedent. Anyway, I'm of the opinion that religion in schools is fine as an academic elective. I think that praying in public school is fine as long as its voluntary. I think religious expression by any government official is fine as well. Basically, religion is fine as long as it isn't forced.

Atheism is not the lack of a belief system, it's the beleif that there is no belief system. Here lies the difference. An atheist has no proof that God doesn't exist, and still beleive hard as rock that it doesn't exist. It's still a beleif.

Hey guys, I love my hobby of not collecting stamps. Also not playing chess, not running cross country, and I love my hobby of not killing people. Since these ARE hobbies, I have to list them all when somebody asks me what my hobbies are.

Stop mixing everything.

They are not hobbies. Hobby is doing something, by definition. If you do not do it, then it is not a hobby. Your hobby could be "doing nothing", and that would be an hobby. As in believing in nothing is a belief.
You BELIEVE that there is nothing to believe in.

Agnostic is the position that is not a believe, because you do not take position.

I didn't say it is a religion, I said it's a belief and is similar to participating in religion.

Agnosticism is not a position of belief. It's a position of knowledge. Almost all agnostics are also atheists.
