2nd hand smoke is more harmful than actually smoking the cigarette! BUT... people still get lung cancer without ever coming into contact with any smoke! (go figure huh?)

I'm against smoking, but that's just my opinion. Do whatever the fuck you want, but if my government was in charge, we wouldn't do anything against you, but we wouldn't give extra money/benefits or anything to you. It's not that you are harming anyone else, just that you do up your chances of harmful stuff too you, plus it's a bad habit that the extra money would probably go to fund, at-least at someone of a level.

Abstract: We examined potential associations of ever asthma, and symptoms of wheeze (past 12 months), hay fever, eczema and bronchitis (cough with phlegm) among school children exposed to second-hand smoke (SHS) in cars, using a modified Irish International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood (ISAAC) protocol.
2,809 children of 13-14 yrs old and who selected randomly from post-primary schools throughout Ireland completed the 2007 ISAAC self-administered questionnaire. Adjusted OR (adjusted for sex, active smoking status of children interviewed and their SHS exposure at home) were estimated for the associations studied, using multivarlable logistic regression techniques.

Overall, 14.8% (13.9% in young males, 15.4% in young females) of Irish children aged 13-14 yrs old were exposed to SHS in cars. Although there was a tendency towards increased likelihood of both respiratory and allergic symptoms with SHS exposure in cars, wheeze and hay fever symptoms were significantly higher (adjusted OR 1.35 (95% CI 1.08-1.70) and 1.30 (1.01-1.67), respectively), while bronchitis symptoms and asthma were not significant (1.33 (0.92-1.95) and 1.07 (0.81-1.42), respectively).

as for that extra money... they wouldnt even be so damn expensive if the gov didnt know they were addictive and tax them like mad because they are so, which keeps the consumer going back for more :o stupid gov't always price gouging shit, and they wonder why the economy sux the big ones!

We found that second hand smoke exposure induced a dose-dependent increase in alveolar macrophage recruitment (mean +/- sd; 224,511 +/- 52,330 vs 166,152 +/- 47,989 macrophages/ml of bronchoalveolar lavage in smoke-exposed vs; air-exposed controls at 3 months, p = 0.003). We also found increased expression of several markers of alveolar macrophage activation (PLA2g7, dkfzp434l142, Trem-2, and pirin, all p < 0.01 at 3 months) and increased lavage levels of two inflammatory mediators associated with COPD (CCL2 [MCP-1], 58 +/- 12 vs. 43 +/- 22 pg/ml, p = 0.03; and TNF alpha, 138 +/- 43 vs 88 +/- 78 pg/ml, p = 0.04 at 3 months). These findings indicate that second smoke exposure can cause macrophage recruitment and activation, providing a biological link between second-hand smoke exposure and the development of inflammatory processes linked to COPD.

Yeah, but all that would happen is they'd pay the money back, and then a little more. They would pay even MORE if they didn't have anything extra as they would probably still smoke the same amount as if they had extra money(not all cases), and they wouldn't be using that extra money.
