My take is that he shouldn't have died over a $20 counterfeit bill that 1. was never proven to be counterfeit, and 2. was never confirmed, if counterfeit, it was known to George.

It was also proven that he died due to the police treatment, hence the trial and judgement.

So, dude shouldn't have died. Cop is 100% responsible.
