they should have tried Jesus, much more effective.

Your cheeky comment has a foot in reality. For better or worse, Christian institutions offered a solution to this exact same problem now being addressed by gov policy experimentation. In a similar way, religious freedom and protections over clergy land have helped people were local governments were working to do the opposite (have them leave, those damn homeless are driving my property values down).

Visited Victoria recently and I was shocked at how bad some of these places have gotten. Forced rehabilitation or jail, open air drug use normalizes drug use.

A swift execution of offenders would certainly reduce harm for the non-degenerate portion of the population.

religion certainly doesnt fix everything, but in my anecdotal experience ive never met a single hard drug addict that gets clean without religion. i'm sure they exist, but AA's method of surrendering to a higher power does seem effective, among other methods that go along with it.

Better than to let them continue to harm the part of the population that’s worth helping.

Aye, the compassion of Democrats. Biden blessed our community with releasing a big time drug dealer. A guy who was mislabeling his own drug products leading to overdoses. Great addition to our already druggy downtown status quo.

"Carlson’s charges included conspiracy, misbranding drugs, distributing a controlled substance and making illegal monetary transactions. Medical experts testified at his trial that the criminal activity at the downtown store that regularly drew lines of people generated a slew of consequences: It created a public health crisis and dramatically increased narcotic-related police calls, emergency room visits and fatalities."

Sounds like it was completely fine before and its all just democrats fault. What was anyone else doing to try and brighten up the situation? Cant wait to get answers.

Seems like a certain [typical] group of posters has this idea that cleansing [murdering] all the druggies isnt going to negatively impact the pristine areas of society somehow. Whoever the fuck that is.

Minnesota Democrats passed drug legalization yet no stores can sell it in almost 27 months. Guess this is their stop gap solution
