Ya same thing has happened to me in the past for well physicals. The mystery and completely in billing is a huge issue. When my wife gave birth in 2019 we got 7+ bills over 6 months. Costs 5k plus with insurance, pretty absurd.

IMO it's corporate greed adding bogus charges for services not rendered. Probably corporate mandate like the shit Luigi PKd the top brass for.

Say a provider has 30k wellness exams, each with a $300 modifier. Most patients eat it as it's like $30 after insurance and petty. In aggregate it's like 9 million extra margin.

Cheaper for them to fraud you and fight you than follow the law.


With one of my sons, the provider wanted us to be discharged just after midnight so we would have to pay the full next day. We left 5 minutes before midnight. They even try to coerice you with discharge nonsense. No way my wife was going to stay another day in the goofy COVID hospitals with no food

It’s usually less than $5 with a prescription and the reason its prescription is because overuse of antibiotics has resulted in community mrsa rates now over 70% in certain areas. Resistance to mupirocin is growing fastest in the US as is compared to every other 1st world country.

I think that is a pretty valid argument for sure but in some countries it's over the counter espec since it's a topical medicine vrs internal.

I do really question why they give kids months and months of antibiotics for acne?

The real issue is the public is in general fairly demanding for antibiotics, the slightest sniffle and they are at their doctors office Demanding an antibiotic and healthcare in the US has turned into a customer service industry

Bc dorks use antibiotics for like 2 days when you’re supposed to use them for 5-7+ which creates superbugs immune to the antibiotic

can’t trust the average person especially the average jsp’er to do research and actually take something correctly
