I can kind of see where you're coming from but still.
Yeah I could explain it, but you need to first understand statutory construction, that the term 'Includes' when used to define something in law, is either used in an Expansive sense expanding upon a previous definition, or an Inclusive sense, meaning the whole thing, unless expanded upon elsewhere in the law.
The government essentially asks you to believe in 26 U.S.C. 7701 (a)(26) that their definitions define absolutely nothing when they lie about the term that expands upon nothing.
But if you look back at the first two implementations of the Income Tax, which were challenged and defeated by Federal Judges, you get to why the Term for Trade or Business became Public Office, because that was what the objecting party challenging them were officers of the federal judiciary itself.
If you look at a copy of the constitution from years ago, when an amendment is made it actually changes the language of the constitution and gives a footnote.
But the 16th amendment doesn't do this at all, at best you get a footnote that just says "See 16th amendment" that's because all the 16th amendment did was create an object in their jurisdiction that they could tax directly, a Public Office.
The term 'Individual' is defined nowhere in federal law unless it is accompanied by a legal entity that is incorporated like a partnership, trust, or corporation, something completely separate from what you would agree to when asked if you were an individual.
I'd really be better off pointing you to a 180 page book that briefly goes over all of this, and you can decide if you want to look more into it, or if you are Canadian you can find if there are societies of non-taxpayers in canada who have things applicable to your country.
