I don't really see very many facts from either side here though, last time I had a convo I dismantled an entire argument and got nothing in return.

That's the point really, few people on here would be even willing change their mind about anything, even if they knew a previously held belief was untrue.

You're making it more diverse for one.

We appreciate your opinions even if we disagree.

this place is very much bipartisan. the left voices just got a lot quieter after the election which happens to be when you got involved

Don't get me wrong there are clearly liberals and leftists and others on this website. I don't see many, but again it's hard to decipher someone's political leanings from a few posts at times.

I will say this: This website has far more right-wing posters than your average website. Which is fine. I'm not the kind of liberal that cares about policing people's politics. It's just my observation.

It's a washed up gamer website from the early 2000s.

We are old and typically or the trend has seen each generation a bit more left of the next. A lot of us here are mid to late 30s or pushing 40.

The average redditor is 23. If I had to guess the average jsper is pushing 36 or 37.

Yeah I'm in my late 30s but I don't think age has anything to do with it. The majority of people I know that are my age, Christians included, are left-leaning or "liberal". I think that may come down to location, though. But it's interesting. I think it's because the nature of the game (Diablo). Because I'm in a few other gaming circles where the majority is hugely leftie or liberal.

ps: I do not identify as a liberal but people will claim I'm a liberal and a lot of my political leanings especially social ones are more liberal than conservative. I only use "liberal" here to identify myself in the false liberal/conservative dichotomy for this example.

Conservatism in the end yields back and conserves nothing, liberalism is the moving further to 'communism' while conservatism locks the gains made by liberalism into place.
Today's GOP, or republican is just what the democratic party was 20-25 years ago.
Both parties serve the same master, while the people are forced to serve two masters.

its all very simple
conservative echo chambers are places were the conservative doenst get "cancelled" for winning the argument. then lefties REEEEEE n leave
leftie echo chambers are were the conservatives been cancelled for winning the argument. then nothing left but the lefties.
i was cancelled from twiter for 'winning a argument about 'evolution
i was cancelled from youtube for merely questioning the 2020 election

I don't think cancel culture is a liberal or conservative phenomenon. Conservatives, particularly the Evangelical kind, have had a history of "canceling" people it was just called something else. Whether it be ostracizing, boycotting, or more akin to the kind we consider 'canceling' today. This was more common in the 80s, 90s and 00s. It is obviously less common after those decades and understandably "cancel culture" is now associated with liberals. But if you go look back at any period of the United States there is some sort of public outrage towards people or ideas.

I think the US is undergoing another right-wing generational era though, like we did with the Reagan era post civil rights era.

not even close, we've never had a party completely devoid of morals or ethics like the modern day conservatives
modern democrats went too far playing identity politics while ignoring the working class; conservatives play fear/hate politics while ignoring the working class. both sides are getting fucked
we've never and likely wont ever have anything remotely like communism in this country no matter how much tucker carlson cries about it. its pure bullshit propaganda to scare people.
we're actually transitioning to a full on oligarchy while half the country watches fox news and believes democrats are socialists lmao
what are we even talking about?!
