After initial hype settles down, I don't think 4k will be an achievable constant.

I dunno. I think it might increase. I also think the numbers coming in will decrease.

Honestly I’d post guards all along the border with “shoot to kill” instructions for anyone who successfully crosses. Of course the bleeding hearts will say “what about the kids and families” and to that I’d say a responsible parent doesn’t set a positive example for their kid by committing a crime.

*years

You can’t fix 8 years of garbage in 2 months.
(Yes I said 8. Trump’s first run wasn’t perfect with covid and other things.)

I do believe the economy will get better. The egg thing doesn’t even bother me much because they do this crap yearly. They have these mutants in terrible conditions, they get sick then they cull the entire plant and wait 6 months to breed new mutants.

Fuel costs + lack of product = increased prices. It’s that simple.

Where I’m skeptical on Trump is outside of the US. Will he truly turn his back on all allies (I believe would be a bad choice) or will he somehow convince other NATO members to carry their own weight.

Trump needs to put American first while still acknowledging we need to try to stay civil with the rest of the world. I am not sure if his ego can accommodate a good foreign policy.

They already do this, Georgia use to be the torture center for those types of people.

Guantanamo Bay is located in Cuba as another example.

It's so funny to see Trumpies now talk about long-term plans. You really think he does any of this for the long term? The man lives in the moment.

If anyone really wanted to fix the problems with our economy in this country they would take on the corporations, lobbyists and oligarchs that own both the Republican and Democratic congress, senate, and so on.

What this actually does is just create a show and waste taxpayer dollars, while functionally weakening many of our industries that require these workers. Now don't get me wrong: Illegal immigration exploitation is not an ideal business practice. I do not support the concept of holding immigrants hostage and at minimum wage but you have to consider the repercussions of such a sudden shift.

Demanding higher standards for employees doesn't make employees suffer it makes the CEOs and the rich assholes taking the majority of the profits "suffer"

I'll never fully understand how conservatives and Republicans are so insanely cucked by the ruling class that they'll bend over backwards to help their CEOs afford their 3rd home in LA.

That’s the liberals continued gameplan and has been for 50 years “fear mongering”. They prey on stupid, gullible cowards.

Fact is though they are losing grip on the masses. Even minorities are slowly turning on them.

I don't think that's at all limited to either party. Both exploit their base for individual financial gain and throughout US history both have sold out at various times leading to this pro corporate, monopolistic, growing wealth gap environment you call the USA.

When politicians can make such great individual wealth gains it clearly provides quite the conflict and is the voter base or the lobbying corp going to offer the best individual value for the politician. Think we know the answer to that.

Because some people live in reality. Anytime you put new standards on businesses it hurts the little man more. Examples? The coal industry with new clean energy standards. Thousands of jobs lost. Continued push for increases in wages for retail employees? Self check outs were designed which resulted in so many job losses it changed the entire makeup of the retail industry.

CEO’s will NOT take a hit to their wallet without trying to eliminate some of that hit by any means necessary and since many states are “At Will” employment states there is absolutely nothing you can do to prevent it.

Shit trickles down hill. Always will until you cease to be a capitalist nation and start putting real accountability on corporations that prevents them from being able to counter such initiatives but even when you do you will have Burger King and Budweiser situations where they will simply move HQ.
