I think the unhinged cheering on of his targeted murder is less to do with a political narrative, and more to do with alot of people sympathizing with and relating to being screwed over/betrayed by insurance companies. He is their perfect demon, not only a CEO but CEO of what I understand to be the largest insurance provider in the country.
Now that Trump won, the stochastic terrorists that the democratic party pretend don't exist will start coming for THEIR friends instead of just Republicans, which the democratic party was ecstatic about and would cheer on. They created a golem that they can't control, many such cases

There was a shooting near where I live a few days after Trump won. Quadruple murder suicide. The shooter was severely mentally ill at the time of the incident, but the Trump outcome set them over some edge. I do think the political climate, fear, and violence rehtoric played a huge part. The shooter of the CEO seems similar, weirdo boon dock saint bullets.
