It's like this with everything now. They teaching people to be weak and most men are nowadays. I wouldn't be surprised if you don't go to the gym 5 days a week and simply live to entertain yourself with your devices outside slavery hours.

Be honest, do you do charity work in your community and help the people in need? Or most of your free time is spent on entertainment?

while i mostly agree i miss the days that a middling viewership show could find it's place. now days netflix and others have LOTS of shows with a small to medium fanbase and they get canned. its either sniff the air of stranger things or you're 1 season and done. so many good shows that could have built up a good following killed in their prime, netflix is by far the worst at this.

Yeah this is true unfortunately. Everyone wants the next GoT or as you said Stranger Things. That making everything a blockbuster attitude I think has more consequences than just smaller shows getting cancelled. At some point it feels there's been much more shift on surroundings / visuals than actual storyline. I don't feel much watching modern movies with some exceptions but suddenly you watch an oldie like Totoro and you can legitimately feel the innocence of a child. Movies used to carry their message better.

The Wizard of OZ (1939), was a real movie, not a cartoon. It was rated G and took the world by storm.

Now-a-days, finding anything that well done... is impossible.
Now it's a medium for every Tom, Dick and Harry, to get on a soap box, stumping about their favorite cause.
The use bad actors (that look good), but otherwise, couldn't hold a job at Burger King.

I think there's only been about 3-4 halfway decent movies, since 2000.

Way back in the day... Audrey Hepburn had to do a short ballet scene in some movie.
She spent six months in intense ballet training, just for that part.

Those days, and the great movies that were created then, are a thing of the past. It's really quite sad.

Blade Runner 2049 (2017) pretty much fell on it's face.
Blade Runner (1982) was a great movie and a rousing success.

There's 100's of examples like this.

Take the all female Ghostbusters. Seriously take it far away from me. LOL
The original Ghostbusters now, that was a smashing success.
