The Wizard of OZ (1939), was a real movie, not a cartoon. It was rated G and took the world by storm.
It took, just over two years to make.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0032138/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wizard_of_OzNow-a-days, finding anything that well done... is impossible.
Now it's a medium for every Tom, Dick and Harry, to get on a soap box, stumping about their favorite cause.
The use bad actors (that look good), but otherwise, couldn't hold a job at Burger King.
I think there's only been about 3-4 halfway decent movies, since 2000.
Way back in the day... Audrey Hepburn had to do a short ballet scene in some movie.
She spent six months in intense ballet training, just for that part.
Those days, and the great movies that were created then, are a thing of the past. It's really quite sad.
Perfect example...
Blade Runner 2049 (2017) pretty much fell on it's face.
Blade Runner (1982) was a great movie and a rousing success.
There's 100's of examples like this.
Take the all female Ghostbusters. Seriously take it far away from me. LOL
The original Ghostbusters now, that was a smashing success.
They should spell DEI, like it comes across... DIE !!
