Quote (Norlander @ May 19 2024 01:11pm)
"The president is the second most important person in Iran after the spiritual leader. He is directly elected for a four-year term and can serve no more than two consecutive terms. He performs representative functions (for example, receiving credentials from foreign ambassadors or presenting state awards), acts as prime minister (in 1989, the Iranian Constitution was amended to abolish this position), signs international agreements, and is responsible for the state plan and budget. He does not direct the work of the government - it is accountable to the spiritual leader and the Majlis."

As I understand it, he was likely next in line to replace the Ayatollah.

They found the chopper. Well. They asked the Europeans to find the chopper for them.

"Janez Lenarčič, the European Commissioner for humanitarian aid and crisis management, said the EU is activating its Copernicus emergency mapping service in response to an Iranian request for assistance."

Iran misplacing their president and foreign secretary is the clown show comrade.

A little coping on your part

Remote / mountainous terrain in combination with bad weather / thick fog, worst case scenario for a helicopter crash and obviously rescue teams gonna have a hard time reaching the crash site

But whatever I'm done here gl

Nobody is disputing that it's difficult to get to certain places.

Your missing the wood for the trees.

The incredible part is not knowing the location precisely when the crash or hard landing occurred. This is child's play for advanced powers.

Of which Iran is clearly not one. Running cap in hand to the EU of all institutions for technical support.
What a horrible day for the reputation of Iranian capability. But credit to them for reaching out to potentially save lives as opposed to proudly stumbling on without help.
Akin to Putin blocking UK and Norwegian intervention to rescue sailors aboard the Kursk submarine.

So you wanna keep going with this BS

Rugged mountainous terrain / thick fog, choppers or planes get lost and are hard to locate no matter how "advanced" you are

This topic reminds everyone here (once again) of your shit attitude. You're not better or more "advanced" than others comrade get over yourself

And most definitely this cannot be compared to the Kursk situation, a nuclear sub where they didn't want foreign eyes on their military tech. Trash comparison

Moral of the story is, don't misplace your president.

Reported obviously. No need to attack me if this political event upsets you.
