Impossible to compare because they were 500 years apart. Gunna say printing press because I was fine with a Samsung for years and Paradise Lost in print form is marginally more important.

To make a reasonnable comparison you should pick two things happening at the same time. At least.
- Printing press didn't invent scripture nor allower vulgarization, it was a big technological progress but few people had access to it and it very slowly continued to evolve in this way.
- Iphone didn't invent anything at all, it is just a shameful polluting product and it does not even has its word to say in regard of the whole Internet & Social Media changes (maybe you are talking about this).
