No. I want to go out in a blaze of glory around 75ish

My thoughts out to you. Loss is a big thing to process, and I hope your family is alright.

grandmother recently passed away. sometimes we feel invincible until we arent.

mortality question. would you choose to live forever if able to ? (assuming unable to pass away due to disease and we have cures for them, but still can from mortal wounds).

Of course, yes. I would definitely choose to live forever.

The fact that injuries could still kill me, deletes any possible downsides.

So why would anyone say no to that?

Cause no one said you wouldn’t age, and once you’re past the point of being able to get pussy, what is the point of living anymore

Imagine you hear that you will have eternal life, won't age, but can still die - so you pick this option thinking there are no downsides, you can kill yourself anytime you want, right?

Then you have an accident and end up with a high quadriplegia, unable to move any of your limbs, unable to kill yourself, but with eternal life. Oopsie.

or someone finds out about you, and decides to put you in a box just big enough for you to lay in with your hands at you sides. perfectly conformed to your body size so you cant move even a half inch, with drainage holes so it wont fill with water. then they just bury you in the woods somewhere about 100 feet down with an air vent. for years you see a slight light change on the air vent and think someone might hear you, only to realize its probably the sun passing behind a cloud or a leaf passing over the tube. true hopelessness sets in, you cant even pass the time by fantasizing about what you'll do when you get out.
