Hello DCEVO,

I strongly believe your persistence to find meaning in religion is adding to your mental problems. I think it is critical for you to understand that your belief in what you call "God" is entirely man made and is unproven by any scientific metric.

You are free to think and believe what you want but this does have consequences. I am convinced you have been indoctrinated into some version of Christianity which has clouded your mind more than necessary. All your posts about God are rabble and make no sense.

Please take time to think about this because secular ideology can be both liberating and enlightening.

I suggest reading Marcus Aurelius' personal notes in a book called "Mediations". The ideology is known stoicism which is about as rational and true to reality that you can get. I consider Mediations to be one of the greatest works of non-fiction and does not require you to believe in a man mad God or follow blind order. I wish you good fortune.

Here is some Zen Buddhism for you. Marcus Aurelius' seeks to build up life which is an impossible task. However Zen, is about emptying it out. To understand what I mean, you will just have to read read read. If you read what I suggested, you will find it is entirely unlike western Christianity and you will have mental tools at your disposal you probably didn't think exist.

Here in my favorite from the Buddhist texts "The Gateless Gate":

Gutei’s Finger

Whatever he was asked (concerning Zen) Gutei simply stuck up one finger. At one time he had an acolyte, whom a visitor asked, “What is the essential point of your master’s teaching?” The boy just stuck up one Finger. Hearing of this, Gutei cut off his finger with a knife. As the boy ran out of the room screaming in Pain, Gutei called to him. When he turned round his head, Gutei stuck up one finger. The boy suddenly Became enlightened.

When Gutei was about to die, he said to the assembled monks, “I received this one-finger-Zen from Tenryu. I used it all my life, but did not exhaust it.” When he finished saying this, he entered into his eternal rest.

The Commentary
The origin of the enlightenment of Gutei and the boy is not in the finger itself. If you understand this, Tenryu Gutei, the boy, and you yourself are all run through with one skewer.

The Verse
Gutei made a fool of old Tenryu (or, Gutei and Tenryu made a fool of everybody).
The sharp blade has damaged the boy.
The Mountain-Spirit raised his hand and lo, without effort,
The thousand, myriad-piled mountain are split into two, Kasan (and Shuyo).
