Right now if you called an election, without doubt the Conservatives would win a majority government here in our FPP system.
There hasn't been this much dissatisfaction with a PM since Mulroney based on recent surveys. He has two years left to try to recoup, but housing is out of control still, even if there's a "correction" it will be a non material fraction of the increase in prices we have experienced over the past few years.
Prices of everything are exceedingly high, the carbon tax is a material amount when you look at the price of fuel, heating fuel, etc. It's another layer of taxes ontop of the fuel tax we already pay, the gst/HST we already pay, all the registration fees, renewal fees we all pay every year that contribute to bullshit jobs that produce nothing.
Canadians are being hit in their pocketbook and if there's anything that will unify a base of voters in Canada it's that pocketbook. Everyone can relate to it, everyone feels it, it's visible and in your face everyday and that's driving polls right now.
