Yes you have these who are doing very visible jobs eventually, but can you see all those working in offices or R&D labs ?

Sure the West may need India but if India isn't playing ball then in the Western view they would be an enemy because they wouldn't be a threat to China and they would benefit both China and Russia from their growing economy (Russian oil for example)

We will have to see how the US media responds IMO, if they ignore it then I agree it won't matter but if they do then it is significant IMO

No I wouldn't see them, but given the number that have come it is unlikely a significant portion have gotten jobs like this. I will try to find the government stats on it, there is a system for determining which industries can hire them instead of Canadian citizens, if I find I will post. Basically they can only hire them if there aren't enough Canadians to fill the positions.

Please also note, the Relationship between India and China for example, soured, after the CCP took over and won the Civil War. They have been having border conflicts for the longest time.
If relationship between the West and India turns sour...you will see a lot more report about how the Indians treat their Muslim minority which is not exactly a minority. The Similar reports and criticism on China / Tibet situation will be reported as India / Nagaland in the future.

The West , especially United States have already done their calculations and they know by 2040 to 2050, If India continue to grow at her pace they will be unusually strong.
Once they reach a point where they can have a strong influence on the Global stage , it will be too late for the West to intervene.

Although Diego Garcia is quite faraway from India Mainland , there will be some drama once India is able to pull it's weight.
The script and textbook for India is already written 5 years back as I am speaking with you at the moment. Why do you think when everyone talks about India in the West now , it is always about gang raping and street shitting and scammers.
You need to prepare the masses and induce stereotypes into the people so when things fire up, it is a lot easier to get public support for your actions towards a potential economical and military power.

Put it this way, I live with Indians and Malays next to my apartment for 25 years in Singapore.
I had a Indian God Mother when I was around the age of 5 who took care of me for 2 years. I am quite familiar with their culture.

Indians are extremely Smart.

And they are in the brilliant position at the moment to play around with the West while grabbing the Russians by the balls and using the West to contain China ( not the other way round ).

Yeah they have really started becoming more of a player on the world stage, very cool. I wish them the best of luck, they have been screwed over by others for a long time

They have problems though , I wish them well too. As a democratic country which it was after independence, the literacy rate was terrible, although it is better at the moment.

There is still a multitude of problems , caste system, their scholars and bankers will go UK, US. South East Asia ( mainly Singapore ) or Australia and they won't go back to India.
