We're seeing some seismic moves in my opinion. The shadow organizations that for so long pulled the strings of big tech are starting to lose grasp. I mean we all knew these social media platforms had a bias, but Elon is wreaking havoc on them since buying Twitter.

If he really brings a defamation suit against ADL and dumps a treasure trove of proof, these orgs are going to have a lot of negative PR, which will most likely lead to them to recoil and step back from some of the more obvious 'steering'.

Interesting times, pendulum is swinging back at a break neck speeds.

The Squad should be asked about this, would make for some interesting tip-toeing on how both sides are bad

Too big, would be too obvious. I think he still mostly complies behind closed doors, but compared to other tech leaders & predecessors, he's pushing back.

He also has beef with this administration. This all started when they held white house talks on EV's inviting GM and Ford while leaving Tesla out (like lolwat?). Now they want to investigate him for foreign ties.

I think the rise of the independent media (Rogan, Twitter with Elon, youtubers, bloggers, etc) is becoming so strong that the more some of these shadowy organizations are trying to whack-a-mole them, the more they are actually exposing themselves of trying to put their hands on the scale. Most of us saw it with Covid, we see it with the Ukraine war. The more they try to do it, the more they will actually erode their trust.

Because of China, you know the Chinese helped Elon build Shanghai Tesla GIGA Factory in record time right ? I think they also tested out automation in that factory.

That being said, you are right about independent media. They are fighting back against the Jewish lobbies.
9gag a meme site, I think I told Ferdia a few weeks back. I consider it one of the few social media sources that you can see propaganda almost immediately when it needs to be spread around.

Past couple of months Antisemitism is on the rise 100x. Honestly speaking if you post all the stuff on Anti Jews that you see on 9gag on any major platforms including X ( Formerly Twitter ) facebook or any other media, it will be taken down straightaway.

Sooner or later Bill Gates will be targeted.

We crossed the Rubicon a while ago now. The old way of destroying someone's career is dead, it's been done too many times and too many people are tuning it out. I've been mostly critical of Trump, but I give him credit for bringing "fake news" into the mainstream. It awoke in a very large number of people an awareness of narratives and for our collective ability to question them.

I give him partial credit. I think his framing of it somewhat detracts, because he puts it in such crude terms. Imagine if he was a much more eloquent speaker and instead of using very basic descriptors and catchphrases like 'fake news' he could have better tailored it.

So much of what we see today in the news is not actually 'fake' what's suspect is the very clear political framing and priming of various events. It's the selectiveness and emphasis of certain things over the other. It's the lack of speaking to power by the MSM. Him dumbing it down for the masses maybe got it to resonate with most of them but then it becomes easier for them to clap back with actually that's not fake, Trump was actually going vacation a bunch of times and he was golfing or whatever. When in reality that type of selective coverage that usually is not remotely headline material was spammed as headlines--which was the real problem.

But the term Fake News is easy, simple and effective for the masses. It might not be perfect. But to be honest, I always thought MSM is sketchy.
It was only the past 6 to 8 years, that I actually tried to fact check and look at the News Media where is it from, who they support and what they report and what they don't.
Sometimes I go as far as to do a check on their owners, editors, producers and even the news anchor to see what is their political nature, just to make sure.

the whole antisemitism conversation is a large streisand effect. the more you spotlight nobody accounts that say dumb shit the more they amplify, and the more the "controls everything" narrative starts to self actualize.

antisemitism is largely unpopular unless you really get into the weeds about what antisemitism means, including things like "controls media/banking" or "israeli policy is inhumane", both inherently true regardless of who's emotions they hurt. power structures that prefer to operated in darkness fighting for their own reputation in the light of day never ends well.

Trump's strength is that he speaks at a level everyone can understand, and sometimes it is better to dismiss a rigged argument outright than to debate in on unequal grounds. The more nuanced take doesn't translate well to the soundbites we use to engage in national conversation. Otherwise I agree, Trump realizes absurd support among specific demographics, but his inability to win over college educated voters destroys any chance of long lasting meaningful change.
