Honestly doubt it. I live in real small towns and yes we all have guns but no one goes out of their way to stop the rampant vandalism that happens here or theft. Maybe there's some but in my experience that's certainly not the case.
Our crime stats speak for themselves but it's hard to really use them because even per capita statistics don't make sense for our size of towns.
