Capitalism is objectively better. The 20th century proved this. The case is closed.

communism works really well in something like a small island nation with low population. but it invariably falls to corruption, and becomes a dictatorship or oligarchy as the population and resources grow.

it's not that we haven't tried real communism, it's that we can't.

The objection to the fact that real socialism has never been tried makes absolutely no sense to me. It's a far better strategy to point out why a pure socialism CAN'T work than it is to pretend that it was tried and failed.

A pure socialism can't work because it has absolutely no competitive aspect to it, it is entirely about cooperation. But people are not inherently cooperative. Nor can they be forced to be, even if that were possible (it can't, because cooperation precludes attempting to force anything on anyone).
