100% a construction company while pay hundreds of thousands for these machines ran by computers so they can lay off 70% of the staff so all the need are low cost laborers and mechanics to fix the machine. It's really starting to take off any trade show I go to now shows off machines with computers that do everything for you.

It's not just coders/computer guys, lawnmowers like me are getting the boot too lol

Because 95% of new TV shows & films are devoid of any creativity, and simply follow an algorithm to churn out a generic story with no originality behind it.

AI is really good at that.

There are very very few original stories nowadays

I feel that one thing AI would probably be quite good at is song-writing. ChatGPT can write, I don't see why AI cannot make music.

AI is, unfortunately encroaching into this area already. Pretty sure it could only harm and not help the patients, and it can only give algorithmic generic responses & not true human connection

AI is one of the main points that the WGA is striking against, because it is already taking their script writing jobs

Yes.

I have heard of a chat program that could mimic human responses so well, that humans who had interacted with it thought it was a human and fell in love with it as a result.
