the reason you feel that way is because Veritas has always used highly selective editing.

they start with a premise "i bet u can buy fetus parts from planned parenthood", then they cast out 500 different fishing poles until they find the one sicko who seems to actually be open to selling fetus parts from a planned parenthood he's associated with. then they edit the video of an interview and run the headline "see planned parenthood sells fetus parts".

there's sickos and bad apples in any group, veritas is good at finding them because they're resourceful, patient, and a dumping station for a lot of people who dont think anyone else will publish their story. they're a good thing for exposing these bad apples, but they only tell a highly selective truth.

Anybody stupid enough to take him seriously is a detriment to the human race. He's been proven to be a fraud multiple times at this point, so anybody who is stupid enough to take him seriously can't be said to have any value to the human race.

This is an overly-generous description of what Veritas does. ACORN and Planned Parenthood had no basis. They weren't "bad apples willing to do bad things", it was just a lie.

As a reminder, PP was offering their patients the option to donate tissues acquired for research in a way that wasn't even going to cover the cost of acquisition and storage of those tissues.

the PP example is fake, so good correction there. but there's nothing overly generous at all about my post. digging into every single employee of an organization then only posting the data you get off of a nefarious member isn't journalism, veritas aren't journalists. they're fake news presented as "the real news wont tell you this". descriptions such as "resourceful", "patient", etc aren't inherently complementary. any "journalist" who makes their living digging through the trash shouldn't be lauded as a truth teller. they dont tell you about 99% of the stuff they tossed back in the bin, they try to convince you the one piece they found represents the truth.

it's the personification of "check your pocket book, this rare penny could make you thousands!". sure, its out there, no you dont have it.

The reason it's overly generous is because they aren't "finding a bad apple", they're finding a good apple being honest and deceptively editing to make it seem like they're a bad apple.

They virtually never find a real bad apple, it is almost always 100% fabricated.

ahh i get what you mean, i should have added that they do a lot of downright B.S., but that even when they have an actual story my post is the best case scenario for their scoop. they've never broken a real story via legitimate means and presented it honestly.

they've fabricated stuff, they've presented way out of context stuff, and they've been scooped themselves.

one of the only legitimate stories ive ever seen them run was related to online child predators. because an ethical hacker was building cases against people freelance like to catch a predator, but most of his evidence was either inadmissible or wasn't used by prosecutors, so Veritas ran it. but ironically it was a backpage story for them while they ran fake fetus farms on the front page.

Isn't that just amazing? They spend so long calling Biden a pedophile and claiming the leftists are abusing kids and then shunt actual pedophile takedowns to the back page?

I'll never understand being that immune to cognitive dissonance.

i think they're terrified of being sued if they publish pedo's faces based on evidence that isn't admissible in court. but yeah it's a sad reality when actual legit pedos with receipts dont get nearly as many clicks as baseless claims against national figures.
