The US education system is a complete travesty from top to bottom and these people are crying because a few degenerate books are being banned. This is always made into some scary authoritarian situation when the reality is usually just some parents losing their shit in a PTA meeting because their kid read the word "dick" in a school book.

I am just bemused at taking away books written by i.e Roald Dahl , Enid Blyton etc etc
