France produced a number of great Military Leaders for at least 4 to 500 years

It likely would have won independence eventually, it just would have taken longer and been more difficult. The Americans already had some military success before the French got involved and the British were under pressure because of the costs of the war and the logistics of waging it on the other side of the world.

Ah I see, I always admired Realpolitik guys like Charles De Gaule.
But it is rather sad that there are little or no French political debaters on Pard.
