this is just a good argument for those with skeletons in the closet not to get involved in politics. when you waltz into the spotlight you can't be surprised people take a closer look. trump was always destined to become this, even before the walked down those stairs he had decades of being sued for various reasons. he was a playboy for pay to strippers and pornstars, and he doesn't dispute it. he has a long history of being nasty to people.
what started off as base level appeal was always going to be his undoing. there's a reason that both left and right typically vet candidates that are almost a cardboard cutout. they leave the military or college, work a desk job, then all of a sudden they're coached into running for senate. its true the democrats latch on to just about anything to get him, what's less talked about is the simple fact that he's got so much dirt floating around he's too liable. the man is a walked liability, Ryan and Preibus knew it and tried to prevent all of this, and were run out of politics altogether as a result. now it's spawned idiots like MTG and Boebert, who make Sarah Palin look like mother Theresa politically.
Whether or not Trump should have gotten involved in politics or not is beside the point. If you're a Saud, you probably shouldn't get involved in politics at all, but that doesn't excuse Saudi Arabia of being a police state.
What we have is an infraction which normally results in a fine, which Bragg is trying to contort into several dozen felonies based on the politics of the accused.
