I mean I can kind of understand the disparity because Haynes is 22 and that was his ex, so we can probably deduce that at least on some level he was the mastermind/primary planner for this crime. Then mix that in with the age of the other two and you get this.
The two younger ones (assuming not one of them pulled the trigger) are still accomplices and should probably get a harsher sentence IMO. Idk what sentencing guidelines are but slap on a wrist with minimal juvie seems lenient. Realistically the 17yr old serves 1year of juvie+ a few years of prison and 15yr old juvie until 18. If one of the younger ones pulled the trigger I think that's certainly an aggravator and to get juvie for that is injustice.
One of the younger ones pulled the trigger, they both broke into the house and killed her together. The 22 year old drove them to the scene, he did not enter the house.
It was a preplanned murder in cold blood of a stranger.
Zaria McKeever was the ex-girlfriend of Hayne, and had a one-year old daughter with him. She wanted a better life for her daughter and broke up with him, and Haynes stalked her and repeatedly threatened her and her new boyfriend. She already had the restraining order on him, lot of good that did. Haynes and the two Kamara brothers conspired to murder her- Haynes gave them the gun and drove them to the boyfriends apartment, planning to kill both Zaria and the boyfriend. Haynes stayed outside, the Kamara brothers kicked in the door and found Zaria, who they shot and killed. The video evidence also shows the teens staking out the apartment and stalking her prior to the murders, all the evidence of malice aforethought (and conviction without their testimony) you could ever need.

Tough to say without the full context, were they in a gang?
Was this an og call?
How much influence did the adult have over the children?
Do they have real remorse?
I just can't see shit in the black and white everyone always tries to push, there are all kinds of shades.
Based on the facts what can we say?
I can say this: Mary Moriarty campaigned not just on criminal justice reform, but specifically on lowering the prosecutions of juveniles and keeping them out of adult court. This was her explicit campaign platform, so here she is delivering on it exactly like promised. This is what the people of Brooklyn Park voted for, and hey, the Daunte Wrights of the city can get all the free passes they want now.
Particularly incoherent is that her stated rationale is that people don't have developed brains until 25 years old, but she's charging a 22 year old with an aggravated crime and seeking life in prison.
