hard to get a full count without reading 20 different articles and counting all of the schools listed, but looks like at least 20 or so schools thusfar reporting.

schools and/or police all at 10:30 am received a call, but not it appears the exact same call. some were a robotic voice, some a person with an accent, etc. some said gunman in the school, some said people shot, etc.

cops rushed into schools, schools went into lockdowns, and thankfully it was all a hoax.

FBI reporting they're investigating the source of the swatting calls and evidence points to a possible african source, although that's almost certainly just a VPN or w/e proxy point for the calls not the origin.

source of the calls and motive are unknown. seems unlikely that kids from all across the state would coordinate this to all happen at the same time. curious to see what turns up if anything. to whoever did this though i send out a big fuck you, what a shitty evil thing to do.

Either people trying to figure out the police response, people trying to draw all the attention away from them while they’re doing a big move or some extremely dumb but well organized kids… your pick?

My gut tells me asshole kids with a good bit of organization, maybe only in 1-5 of the schools but doing it all over to make it harder to find.

my tinfoil tells me its someone checking police response to see what schools are and arent prepared.

Let’s hope it’s just dumb kids with a terrible sense of humor and not someone looking to be on the news cycle for the next couple weeks.

Let us hope and pray that soon we put armed guards at each school and we can be more secure in our education system.
