My post showcase the fact it's always Heroic actions when outsiders overthrow their government but when it's back home, they are seen as terrorists and the media paint them in a bad light.

In Sri Lanka, the country is in a genuine crisis, infrastructure is breaking down due to energy and gas shortages and people are literally unable to put food on the table.
In the U.S., a politician kept telling the lie that he actually won an election he had in fact lost and riled up his supporters so that he could retain his grip on power in spite of being a SAD! loser.

In Sri Lanka, the government was overtly corrupt and incompetent.
In the U.S., even Trump-appointed judges across the country found no evidence of the alleged voter fraud Trump blamed for his loss.


Simply put, the insurrection in Sri Lanka happened for a real reason while Jan 6th happened because of the delusions and self-serving antics of a sore loser.

Biggest difference of all is that Jan 6th wasn't an insurrection.
Russiagate and Ukrainegate weren't treason.
