Apologizing for slavery does nothing.

While it’s true that the most powerful prison is one that can’t be seen or potentially realized, technology as a means for enslavement of humanity is reliant on humanity not looking in the mirror. Every person has the capacity for critical thinking to change how they use technology. A steak knife is just as capable for constructive use as it is for destructive use, the same goes for technology.

Manipulation by the stuff you read and see on it.
And spyware, lots of it.

We have agency over the content we choose to consume and we also have free will to question everything and test everything by its fruits or lack thereof.

To simply say "everyone who has a smart phone is manipulated by media" disregards the part we play and our ability to critically think about it.

Slavery day in USA should be perfectly appropriate.
It's not a "small" part of your long history btw lmk.

Not just smart phones.
Anyone who consumes any media from hollywood or any corporate source are being manipulated.
This includes any tv show, streaming service, movies, magazines, commercials, billboards and much more.
This is why most can't see it, because it is everywhere.
