The longest-serving state senator in America resigned his committee seats and will not seek re-election this fall. Ray Holmberg was caught texting a man currently in jail awaiting trial on child-pornography charges. He claims his exchange of nearly 100 messages were about his patio or other benign subjects, but he conviently has deleted said messages. As they were sent through the prison texting service, we do have some idea of the messages that were exchanged although his name has been stricken from the record to protect his identity.

It should be noted the boyfriend being referenced here is 60+ years Ray's junior.
Should Ray resign? Do his actions warrant further investigation? Is the party going to close ranks to protect one of their own despite their chummy relationship with an actual pedophile?
