So obviously he'll be replaced by a dirty lib. How centrist of a lib are they going to settle for? Will Sinema and Manchin throw some weight around to get some additional attention throw their way.

How much focus will there be on identity politics? I would not be surprised if a black women is nominated and then of course the conservative media will bitch about it.

There is a big racial agenda going on right now which create more division. People need to stop putting emphasis on races and aim to be represented by good people who have their future at heart.

There's really no reason to go centrist on this pick. The Republicans have no leverage.

Replacing Breyer with another liberal doesn't change the composition of the Court, and this would be an easy opportunity to earn points with their base at no real cost. I don't foresee any true opposition to pretty much anyone Biden puts forth unless it's on actual merits.

Leondra Kruger seems to hit a lot of the check marks. Female POC. Jewish. Experience with Obama administration. Young.

Maybe Biden could take this as an opportunity to actually appoint a liberal who votes by conscience and reason and isn't just a rubber stamp for the democrats on everything. Someone who will buck the party philosophy when its not in line with the judicial philosophy.
well fat chance, we'll just get another kagan / sotomayor

Thank God. Court is already 6-3 I would have hated to see him die on the bench during a GOP presidency like RBG did and the court get stacked 7-2

Your 83 dude. Retire and enjoy your last years. This goes for anyone still working at 75+, unless you can't afford your bills and you have to work...which is a sad situation

Manchin and Sinema have rubber-stamped every federal court nominee Biden's put forth. They'll toe the party line on this one unless someone digs up something controversial in the nominees past.
