I have literally never heard of this apparently super important member of the Republican Party, an invaluable asset to political campaigns (lol right) so I did a little research.

So this guy had his five minutes of fame because he had a bunch of kids and got a reality tv show. He used what little fame he had to support and raise money for political candidates he found favorable. I think it is fair to say that many of us would do the same if we had a little more time and money and the public recognized our face.

He gets charged in 2015 with sex crimes and basically disappeared from public eye. No more campaigning or fund raising. Just got exposed as a loser and slunk away into the darkness.

Looks like congressman huckabee from Arkansas is the only person who had anything relatively good to say about him after he was charged, and it is pretty obvious he only said something publicly because being from Arkansas, Duggar obviously helped him a decent amount. Maybe he felt like he owed the bare minimum of saying something along the lines of inexcusable but not unforgivable. Basically a generic Christian thing to say.


Please explain to me how, knowing that all but one single person completely abandoned the man after finding out he watches kiddie porn, does this in any way implement an entire political party in the scandal. Are you going to tell me, in all seriousness, that if you are to accept money from and take pictures with some d list celebrity not knowing he has some child porn fetishes, all of a sudden you are a piece of shit too?

Can you honestly tell me if he gave money to democrats you wouldn’t say something along the lines of “he is a piece of shit. Lock him up” but say nothing about the political party he affiliated with?

Giving me examples of republicans who committed sex crimes does not answer my question. You just gave as many examples going back over a decade as there are current republicans in the senate, and a few more. Bravo. I am 100% positive if I spent time digging I could bring a list just as long as Democratic affiliated people committing similar crimes. I could hypothesize the Epstein maxwell situation alone could bring a larger list than you just brought. So thank you for a list of scumbags, it is completely irrelevant to this topic.

Maybe we can bring a list of how many teachers had sex with students and from now until the end of time say all teachers are sex offenders to win arguments. Okay.

Maybe we can bring a list of how many retail workers steal from their employers, and say all retail workers are thieves to get an up in an argument.

My question is how can you take a single event and use that to demonize an entire group of people. This example being one of the worst crimes you can commit in a civilized world.

I know the answer, and you cannot be a serious person and do this. My larger point is that it is absurd to play childish games like this. I can tell by join dates that most of us are well into adulthood, but still act like fucking children. Demonizing millions of people because of the actions of a handful. I wanted y’all to come to that conclusion yourselves, but I can see where this topic is headed.
