The B.1.1.529 Covid mutation, dubbed Omicron, has begun surging in Africa and cases have already been reported spreading to other continents.
It has been growing with an R value of 1.93 in South Africa, compared to the 1.53 on previous Covid variants.

Gonna hurt I'm sure. But just like the other varients it's probably short term turbulence and if you're not ramotly getting close to being margin called it could be a fine time to deploy it as long as you're maintaining a good margin of safety.

I always maintain enough that even if it drops 50% in a day I won't get called.
