Its less of an example of systemic racism and more of an example of prejudice.
When a black woman goes missing, its all part of the plan - everybody expects black women to go missing, because black men beat and kill their women on a daily basis.
But when a pristine white woman from the suburbs goes missing in a grisly manner? Well that's headline worthy news, because that's sensational - that doesn't happen.
Its also worth noting btw that the black news anchor you took the article from could have also taken the opportunity to talk about a specific black woman who went missing that day, but instead chose to jump on the piggy back of Gabby's headlines and pontificate about racism.
