It's okay you can just close the thread now

Leaders debate is live atm. Who do you support out of these 5?

Also, how do you feel about the way the debate is being run? Are these leader debates not just pedantic as fuck? Back in the good old days these things didn't have to conform to television time slots

I can't be bothered to watch the actual debates, but the Liberals $40k tax-deferred home savings plan is a legitimately good idea. The PCs are theoretically more competent, but the Liberals are comfortable and only ~20% of people want Comrade Singh in charge of the North.

Why is your Green Party candidate stuck purely on anecdotes and broken-recording on "the culture in Ottawa"?

it's not so much the liberals but trudeau, i voted for trudeau in 2015 and 2019

un security seat council thing was an embarrassment
indian constumes was an embarassment
he handled the retard south of the border poorly
telecom promise fail and electoral reform fail also limits my trust in the promises the liberal party is parading out right now - i do love some of the things they're promising but just don't believe it's gonna happen
too many ethics scandals

i might coin flip conservative for limited spending and avoiding higher taxes or ndp for a serious approach to housing

None Of The Above.

The only decent candidate that would fundamentally challenge the establishment was excluded from the debate despite polling higher than two of the people there.

They were debating whether Prime Minister Soy Blackface is a real feminist or not.
Conservative Party leaders are controlled opposition that support auth/lockdown ideology

The debate must be constrained to topics safe for the state. How much should we expand it? who supports lockdowns the most?
The masses cannot be permitted to hear real dissent. Instead the PM will smear critical media outlets and blame everything on them, like he did yesterday.

It reminds me of this passage from The Revolution: A Manifesto by Ron Paul

Quote
The False Choices of American Politics

Every election season America is presented with a series of false choices. Should we launch preemptive wars against this country or that one? Should every American neighborhood live under this social policy or that one? Should a third of our income be taken away by an income tax or a national sales tax? The shared assumptions behind these questions, on the other hand, are never cast in doubt, or even raised. And anyone who wants to ask different questions or who suggests that the questions as framed exclude attractive, humane alternatives, is ipso facto excluded from mainstream discussion.

And so every four years we are treated to the same tired, predictable routine: two candidates with few disagreements on fundamentals pretend that they represent dramatically different philosophies of government.

The supposedly conservative candidate tells us about “waste” in government, and ticks off $10 million in frivolous pork-barrel projects that outrage him—the inevitable bridge-to-nowhere project, or a study of the effects of celery consumption on arresting memory loss—in order to elicit laughter and applause from partisan audiences. All right, so that’s 0.00045 percent of the federal budget dealt with; what does he propose to do with the other 99.99955 percent, in order to return our country to living within its means? Not a word. Those same three or four silly programs will be brought up all campaign long, and that’s all we’ll hear about where the candidate stands on spending. But conservatives are told that they must support these candidates, and so they do, hoping for the best. And nothing changes.

You got to be joking. I mean, aside from his obvious lefty pansy ways, his face literally makes me puke. And the worst thing is, he probably thinks he is such a cutie! *Barf*

And he's not even blond. Seriously he would make the best fat-loss drug because every time I see him on TV, my stomach content rises up into my mouth. And then I have to find a newspaper with his picture on to puke onto.
