Very unfortunate news.

I was compelled to find out what amount of firearms/per capita there is in countries and how they compare.

According to this the US has 120 firearms per 100 people.
That's roughly double the next country which is the Falkland isles with a tiny population.

Even if this is highly inaccurate, the trend is likely to be the same.
