don't worry, they already found a way to blame 'the left' and 'the green new deal' for their problems.

No one is blaming the Green New Deal. They are reasserting the need for reliable energy and pointing out that the Green New Deal is ridiculously stupid.

Nearly a quarter of Oregon, which is as "big government" as California lost power due to the storm. Even now that the ice has melted in most of the state, there are still 150,000 people without power. And Oregon is a state familiar with snow and ice, that has taken measures to deal with it.

Texas' primary issue with this storm had nothing whatsoever to do with big or small government. It had to do with a climate that seldom has snow, and typically doesn't get down to freezing at ground level (aka the rare snow doesn't stick). So key portions of their power grids were not weatherproofed. They didn't have any form of deicing strategy for the 25% of the grid run via wind turbines. Before you go on about, "Well pipelines froze!" No Tim Pool, they did NOT. Natural Gas freezes at -297F. At that temperature, one breath will freeze your lungs. It did not get anywhere near that cold in Texas. What froze was pumping mechanisms, due to a failure to anticipate such an incredible cold spike.

Something like 14 states, the majority of them BLUE suffered severe power outages as the result of the storms. And many of them (including my state) are still struggling to restore power to the populace. Of particular worry, however, is the urban and suburban developments in Texas were "pro green" aka many houses and apartments don't even have a fire place. Where in Arizona, a loss of power during a snowstorm isn't that big of a deal, as the majority of homes (even apartments) have chimneys, and nearly everyone keeps some fire logs (like duraflame or something similar) around, this just isn't as prevalent in Texas. Why? Power's cheaper than firelogs, and Texas is never without power.

The failures of government AND private industry when it comes to this storm is myriad and far more widespread than a single state OR a single political party.

This, of course.

'no one is blaming the green new deal' claims the eager right wing bootlicker, as gov. abbott has nothing better to do (while his fellow texans are freezing to death thanks to his incompetence, mind you) than to go on hannity and LIE about the causes for the blackout, blaming wind and solar, smearing the green new deal, even though it's clear that the main culprit are fossil fuel installations that haven't been winter-proofed thanks to texas' small government disciples...

As a Californian, I'm always irked when Republicans jumped on the state for having "failed liberal policies" when it comes to energy needs. I don't think it's right to pile on Texans for having a system that mostly works for their state. In these scenarios, it's typically the power companies, not the state, that are screwing over consumers. They are either negligent, greedy, incompetent, etc. That doesn't absolve the state of blame, but it's not a partisan problem.

A garbage person calling me names and pretending a literal anarchist/libertarian is a statist bootlicker does nothing to support your claim.
It just shows lack of character, how out of touch with reality and reason you are, and an inability to back up what you say.

You cited Governor Greg Abbott, who I don't like, saying the Green New Deal would be bad and reiterating a need for reliable energy/fossil fuels... in order to somehow back up your claim that the right is blaming the Green New Deal.
Instead it further bolstered my claims - that people are pointing out that the GND is a terrible idea but aren't actually blaming it for the current outages.

Time and again you demonstrate for everyone that you don't have the integrity, honesty or knowledge necessary to successfully and legitimately argue points against anyone here.

Going on an unhinged fact-free rant against me because I pointed out you were wrong is just pathetic. You can't point out a single lie or anything I have said that is wrong.
