Nobody's excusing anything. If every so-called "riot" in the US resulted in 4 dead rioters and an absolute minimal property damage, and everyone observing curfew, I'd sit down, shut up, and never bring up the subject again.

BTW, last night an estimated $10m worth of property damage and 14 (non-rioter) injuries were reported in my city. Apparently, the total chaos of DC after a half million people flooded in was still less than the average night here.

it's not just one guy with a hoodie though, that's a blatant lie. a significant portion of a movement sporting nazi and white supremacist tattoos, symbols, and flags - while the rest of the movement either just accepts that, or, like you, even regularly makes such intellectually rotten excuses for it, downplays its presence, significance, and severity - well, that puts the whole movement in the "at least sympathiser" category.

i know your brain is only equipped to deal in extremes, hence the silly strawmanning - but it still boggles my mind that someone who gets so upset when called out for the FACT that they regularly make excuses for people like stephen miller (just recommending award winning books), proud boys (just guys who like to dress fashionably), and other white nationalist scum - would once again pop up with the sole intention to downplay the significance of nazi / white nationalist symbolism, rhetoric, and ideology withing the trump movement. you literally can't help yourself, can you?
