I life in MO too and I wouldn't be so sure. Not long ago Missouri was actually a bellweather state and voted both ways. STL KC and Boone county almost always vote blue, so if the turnout is high it isnt impossible, especially with a more moderate candidate like Biden.

True, the last significant election had a black guy who was never going to outdo the rural shitholes, and lots of those rural people are disillusioned with Trump, even if there's still plenty who aren't.

I've heard that there can be an argument that any citizen can vote, since equal protections should include the right to run for office. It would obviously need to be tested by the supreme court and isn't likely to succeed, but it's a coherent argument based on a constitutional amendment.
