God youre a bad scientist. Theres a fuck ton of other ways it can spread from bats to humans besides being eaten or being genetically engineered. Bats are a somewhat common source of rabies infections too, and nobody assumes the people who get rabies from bats are eating them.

Probably wouldnt, but it could spread from being killed and handled before being cooked. Its a respiratory virus so it probably wasn't initially contacted by huamns by eating it.
