If there were no bats at that market, then the virus would have had to come from a place like the Wuhan Institute of Virology instead.

God youre a bad scientist. Theres a fuck ton of other ways it can spread from bats to humans besides being eaten or being genetically engineered. Bats are a somewhat common source of rabies infections too, and nobody assumes the people who get rabies from bats are eating them.




Probably wouldnt, but it could spread from being killed and handled before being cooked. Its a respiratory virus so it probably wasn't initially contacted by huamns by eating it.

The theory for this one is that antigenic shift happened inside a Pangolin, but still how would a bat travel 1000 miles into a city?

The current theory is still highly suspect because weve only had a few months to collect data. It is not well substantiated that it went Pangolin -> bat -> human. Its only known that pangolins are a coinfected species.
