Doesn't do anything to ban guns when everywhere around you doesn't. Kinda like throwing a clean bowl into a sink of piss.

Never heard anyone claim it will eliminate it, it minimises it.
We actually did it here and it works.
Banning guns in one city when you can drive an hour and still buy them doesn't achieve much.

I am against gun bans but support licensing and registration.

so youre saying banning guns in the us is useless unless mexico and canada ban them, too...?

More like unless we have something country-wide, similar to what Australia did. You can limit incoming guns from national borders, but there's no way to do that in state borders.

not if theres no border control. gun ban + open borders = really bad idea.
