Imo Something is wrong with a culture that doesn't actively shame such behaviour.

It has been going on for the last 50-60 years tbh, but it is getting worse. People don't feel nearly as much responsibility for their actions as they did in the past, but it is their choice to make.

You concluded the opposite of what that implies. Every generation says that about the next. There is no fundamental change, the older generation always thinks the morals and actions of the next generation are wrong.

That is because they have time to observe behaviors. I also thought of your implication but I overrun it with mine. Data shows that these statements are true, there are a lot more single parents nowadays and they are less hardworking than they used to be.

The main reason is because they can survive easier because of technological and social advances, but that doesn't change that it is true.

There are more single parents because we dont have shotgun weddings anymore, and toxic marriages arent encouraged solely on the basis that divorce is bad. Theyre actually good things, not generational failings.
