Is China deadlocked in Xinjiang? Around 13:30 Friday, assailants broke into a commercial street Yarkand, in the district of Shache, to throw explosives and attack passersby with knives. The balance of 15 deads and as many wounded was confirmed by the official news agency Xinhua. In Chinese Muslim majority region of Xinjiang, the district Shache or Yarkant County, is one of the eleven provinces under the administration of Kashgar, strategic business and economic center node selected by the Chinese government a little further 190 km northwest, near the border with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

Xinjiang province twenty million inhabitants, populated half of Uighurs, has since 2013 a wave of deadly attacks after the relative calm that followed the deadly clashes in the provincial capital, Urumqi, in 2009. the Chinese authorities continue to respond to what they see as terrorist movements but repression does not seem able to cope with the increasing number of attacks, on the contrary. It seems that within the Uighur community under strong demographic pressure due to the ever increasing implantation Hans, ideological radicalization progresses.

Not a well known conflict, but one most don't really understand. Han have lived in Xinjiang for thousands of years; alongside Turkic people's like the Uyghurs. Uyghurs have a lot of claims thinking they own Xinjiang but historical evidence for the most part proves them wrong. Han were only ever a minute percentage of people recently, the rise of Han in Xinjiang today is a regression to the mean.

I wouldn't be too worry about that, unlike that of the west. china dont have bunch of humanitarian liberal jump in the way while dealing with these fuckers. the government of china r free to do what ever they want to seize control of this province even if it mean to just grap a bunch a muslim terrorist from that region and jail/kill them. it wouldn't be report on news, nor will they inform u such thing. beside at this rate wouldn't be long before han take majority of xinjiang.
