Can the Bible truly be the Word of God? Within this topic, I will break down the points by multiple posts. Please be patient while I post each part separately, as it is too long to post in one go!

In general, these are the points I will be posting, God-Willing:

D) God asking for 32 virgins for Himself.
E) Did anyone see God, or not?
F) Is everything possible with God or not?

12: Paul says that all Scripture is given from God.
13: Mockery of God's Intelligence.
14: A few bizarre verses in the Bible:

1: About the Bible.
Many people today say that the Bible has been inspired by God Almighty Himself. They even boast that the Bible which we hold in our hands is most accurate, infallible, perfect, and free from errors and contradictions. Some say that the story behind the Bible is that it was written over a period of at least 3,500 years, maybe even more. The truth is that the Bible exists in multiple manuscripts, and multiple canons, none of which completely agree on which books have sufficient authority to be included, or even their order. The Bible is not a single book, but rather a collection of texts and personal letters, most of them anonymous, and most of them the product of more or less extensive editing prior to reaching their modern-day form. Christianity today is divided into multiple sects, such as the Roman Catholics, the Orthodox, the Protestants, the Presbyterians, the Jehova's Witnesses, the Baptists, the Lutherans, and many, many more. Unfortunately, even up to this date, Christianity cannot ultimately decide upon which Bible they will use, since the Bibles are different, as I will demonstrate below. Within Judaism, it is well-known that our Jewish cousins do not accept the Messiah Jesus (pbuh), and are still expecting him. For the Christian world, it has become an article of Faith for non-Christians to believe in Jesus. I would like to comment on this before I continue.

What you are about to read below is still unknown to some Christians, so it may surprise you: No Muslims is a Muslim if he doesn’t believe in Jesus (pbuh)!

In Islam, we believe that Jesus Christ was one of the mightiest Messengers of God. We believe that he was the Messiah who was born miraculously (some Christians reject this today), and that he gave life to the dead by God’s permission, as well as heal those born blind, and the lepers by God’s permission. We both agree upon these aspects, but there are yet three major differences between Christianity and Islam; these major differences are the following:

A) There is no “Original Sin” in Islam; we believe that all are born pure.
B) Jesus (pbuh) is no more than a Prophet in Islam, and thus he is not part of any “Trinity”, nor is he God incarnated, and he is not the “begotten son of God”.
C) Islam denies the crucifixion, and clearly states that it never happened.

Now, concerning the concept of God having a “Son”, the Bible testifies that God has numerous “Sons” and “Daughters”, which means that the term “Son of God” is not to be taken literally, but metaphorically. In God's eyes, we are, more or less, all His children. All of us! Even the evil ones! Thus, in the Biblical Language, when Jesus is called “the Son of God”, it actually means “a servant of God”, and it is worthy to note at this point that Jesus would have been closer to have been the Son of God than any living person on Earth, as he would have been more faithful to God than any of us can ever be! Metaphorically, I would have no objection of calling him the “Son of God”, but, as a Muslim, I feel deeply offended when any Christian comes along and tells me that Jesus is the begotten Son of God!Now, let us deal with the topic at hand:

Is the Bible the Word of God?
For starters, it is worthy to note that Translations and Versions are different things. For example, in Islam we have a number of Translations of the Qur'an, even in the English language, by different people:

A few Translators (Alphabetically): Abdul Daryabadi, Hasan Qaribullah, Marmaduke Pikthall, Muhammad Mohsin, Yusuf ,Ali, etc...

And in this case the translation means a difference in the choice of words with synonymous terms. It is simply a choice of words when translating from Arabic into English. Versions are quite a different thing. For example, we have the Douay/Rheims Catholic Version of the Bible, which Protestants do not accept as the Word of God. It is an encyclopedia of 73 Books; 7 more than the classic canon of 66 Books, as (for example) the King James Version, or the New International Version, or the Revised Standard Version. The 7 extra Books in the Douay/Rheims Catholic Bible are called Apocrypha, which means that these 7 extra Books are considered weak, and thus are of doubtful origin. Many Christians today do not accept these 7 extra Books as the Word of God, and, to make matters worse, other versions of the Bible include even more Books in their “canon”. For example, the Greek Orthodox Version of the Bible has 79 Books, the Syriac Bible has 75, the Somali has 81...etc.

The classic “authorized Bible”, which the Protestants use, is an encyclopedia of merely 66 Books. Bibles that fall under this category include the authorized King James Version (which has undergone six major revisions), the 1946-1952 Revised Standard Version, the 1971 Revised Standard Version, the New International Version (I have lost count of how many versions this Bible has), and many, many more! For the sake of argument, let's assume that the 66-Book version of the Bible happens to be the Word of God. The first authorized version was the King James Version, which was authorized by His Majesty King James in 1611, and not by God Almighty. Ironically, this specific Bible has undergone at least six major revisions, which means that its contents have been drastically changed six times, yet (!) it still bears the name: “King James Version”! For example, imagine yourself writing an essay about, let's say, anatomy, and a second person comes along and makes a lot of changes to your essay, for various reasons. Later on, a third person checks the essay, and decides to make his own changes, and then a fourth, fifth, and finally a sixth person comes along and changes what was originally written in that essay. Now, I ask you: After all those alterations, can you, for an instant, dare to tell me that the essay is still intact and that the meanings haven't changed? I believe you see my point. Now, let’s go back to the Bible; the authorized King James Version. The 1st Edition of the King James Version (1611) is based upon ancient manuscripts of the 5th and 7th century, which means approximately 400 to 600 years after Jesus (pbuh).

After the King James Version, a special committee of 32 scholars of the highest eminence, backed by 50 cooperating denominations, was brought together, and they produced the first “Revised Standard Version”, which was first published in 1946, up to 1952. This Bible was based upon some of the most ancient manuscripts, dating from between the 3rd and 4th century; approximately 200 to 300 years after Jesus.

2: Tributes.

When the first edition of the RSV was published, it received some glowing tributes, which I decided to include in my Book.

The Church of England Newspaper said: “The Finest version which has been produced in the present century.”
The TIME LITERARY SUPPLEMENT said: “A completely fresh translation by scholars of the highest eminence, with fullest use of the resources of modern scholarship.”
LIFE AND WORKS said: “The well-loved characteristics of the authorized version combined with a new accuracy of translation.”
THE TIMES said: “The most accurate and close rendering of the original.”

These publishers of the RSV Bible (the ones who got it about first in 1952) also paid some amazing tributes to the King James Version in the preface. It (the preface) says:

“The King James Version, with good reason, been termed “the noblest monument of English Prose. Its revisers, in 1881, expressed admiration for “its simplicity, its dignity, its power, its happy turns of expression...the music of its cadences, and the felicities of its rhythm” It entered, as no other book has, into the making of the personal character and the public institutions of the English-speaking peoples. We owe to it an incalculable debt.” (RSV preface)

These are beautiful words. Even I as a Muslim felt great joy in my heart when I read this tribute, as I happen to be a great fan of the Bible. HOWEVER (!), prepare for a shock; a shock which struck even me very hard!

From these 32 scholars of the highest eminence, backed by 50 cooperating church denominations, in the same breath, they say:

“Yet the King James Version has grave defects. By the middle of the nineteenth century, the development of Biblical studies and the discovery of many manuscripts more ancient than those upon which the King James Version was based, made it manifest that these defects are so many and so serious as to call for revision of the English translation.” (RSV preface)

If you are feeling pain at reading these words, I can totally understand, because as I previously mentioned, I am a great fan of the Bible myself! Please note that these are not my words, but the words penned down by 32 scholars of the highest eminence, backed by 50 cooperating church denominations. You can read this in the Revised Standard Version preface.

Even I as a Muslim felt a pain in my heart upon discovering what I am about to present to you, as I also happen to be fond of the beautiful literature of the original King James Version (1611).

Paul, who used to be the persecutor of the early followers of Jesus (pbuh), was on the road to Damascus, and he sees a vision in which allegedly Jesus Christ appears to him, and speaks to him in the Hebrew language: “Saul, Saul! Why persecutest thou me? Why kickest thyself against the pricks?” (This is the exact quotation from the King James Version, Acts 9:5). Now, however, they changed the word 'pricks' into 'goads' (New King James Version). If it is 'pricks', then it should be said 'pricks', and if it is 'goads', then it should be said 'goads'. This is the original language of the King James Version, but now it is talking about goads! Why goads? What does goads mean? A goad is a stick we use to prod cattle; it's a modern word from a totally new terminology that was introduced in the late 20th century.

Furthermore, in their revision, the Kingpin of every Evangelist/Preacher, John 3:16, was modified, and the word “begotten” was thrown out! The verse originally goes like this:
*John 3:16 “For God so loved the World, that he gave His only begotten Son...”

Before we continue, I would like to ask a simple question: How does God beget? In the Qur'an, God revealed to us that “Lam Yaled Wa Lam Youlad”, which translates into, “He begets not, nor was He begotten”. (Holy Qur'an, Surah Al-Ikhlas (112), Verse 3).

However, here the Bible is telling us that Jesus is the begotten Son of God! Yet (!), in the RSV (Revised Standard Version), which is based upon the most ancient manuscripts, the word begotten is no longer there! This means that the word “begotten” was a later addition; in other words, a fabrication!

Then again, even if this wasn't the case, and the word hadn't been removed, the following question still remains: How does God beget?

For those who are unfamiliar with the term (to beget), it is an animal act, and it belongs to the lower functions of sex. Are we to attribute such a quality to God?
Yet, the Christian says in his catechism: “Jesus is the only begotten Son. Begotten, not made.”

In my experience, from all the Christians which I have asked, none of them has given me an explanation of how God begets, yet they blindly accept it as the word of God! Quite interestingly, the 32 scholars of the highest eminence backed by 50 cooperating church denominations threw the word “begotten” out! For what reason? Why was it thrown out? The answer is simply because it was an interpolation; a fabrication; it was not the word of God. The King James Version has this interpolation.

Another fabrication which was thrown out is the only verse that resembles the Trinity, from the 1st epistle of John, Chapter 5, verse 7, which says: “For there are three that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one.” / 1 John 5:7, Douay/Rheims Catholic Bible, King James Version.

But this is not in the Revised Standard Version of the Bible! Isn't the RSV the Word of God? In that Bible it's not there! Why is it not there? It's not there because the 32 Christian scholars of the highest eminence, backed by 50 cooperating church denominations, saw that this is another fabrication; another interpolation, so they also threw it out!

And we are not discussing just one word been thrown out! There are lots more! There are whole chunks and even chapters of this kind of discrepancies! And if you need to learn about something, you must go to the experts. So, if you want to know something about the Bible, you go to the Bible experts, and they are telling you that this is a fabrication!

The ascension from Mark 16:19, is not in my RSV Bible! I open up Mark Chapter 16, and I see that it ends at verse 8! 9-20 is missing! Did I take it out? Did any Muslim take it out? No!

32 scholars of the highest eminence, backed by 50 cooperating church denominations, they saw it fit, that this is another fabrication imposed upon Christendom, and they also threw it out! It's not in my RSV Bible; therefore it is not the word of God!

If the RSV is the Word of God, then the KJV is not the Word of God. But (!), I pick up another Bible (another RSV, printed in 1971), and I see it back again! It's inside! The ascension is only mentioned in 2 places in the Gospels (Mark 16:19, and Luke 24:51), however, ironically, when Jesus rode the donkey into Jerusalem, all 4 Gospel writers mention it! (Matthew 21:7; Mark 11:7; Luke 19:35; John 12:14). A lesser happening was not missed out by any of the 4 Gospel writers, but the ascension was only mentioned by 2! And again they are fabrications! What was thrown out was put back in again! Because when I look into the 1971 RSV Bible, which was printed by the same printers, in the same publishing house, I see that it is there again!

In the preface, we read the following:

“Two passages, the longer ending of Mark (16:9-20) and the account of the woman caught in adultery (John 7:53-8:11), are restored to the text,” (RSV 1971 preface)

By who’s authority? Once again, the 1971 RSV preface gives us the answer:

“Many proposals for modification were submitted to the Committee by individuals and by two denominational committees.”

Furthermore, the 1946 RSV preface also says:

“The King James Version of the New Testament was based upon a Greek text that was marred by mistakes, containing the accumulated errors of fourteen centuries of manuscript copying. It was essentially the Greek text of the New Testament as edited by Beza, 1589, who closely followed that published by Erasmus, 1516-1535, which was based upon a few medieval manuscripts. The earliest and best of the eight manuscripts which Erasmus consulted was from the tenth century, and he made the least use of it because it differed most from the commonly received text; Beza had access to two manuscripts of great value, dating from the fifth and sixth centuries, but he made very little use of them because they differed from the text published by Erasmus.”

And again, here are more valid arguments: Would a Holy Scripture, supposing that it is indeed to be the Word of God, be filled with mistakes and contradictions? Would the Word of God be full of incest, hate, porn, and terrorism? Jesus himself says we should follow every letter of the Bible (Matthew 5:17-19), while Paul himself says that “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine...” (2 Timothy 3:16)

Now, here are some of the bizarre passages of the Bible:

In the Old Testament there are numerous cases of incest! In Genesis alone, there are at least 3 cases of incest! According to modern-day psychology, the type of things you read render your mind into the same direction! Yet the Bible has numerous cases of incest! Since the human mind is vulnerable to such things, then why would God Almighty reveal numerous cases of incest in His Holy Book?

The first five Books, which are supposedly the Books of Moses; Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy; these revisers (the scholars of the highest eminence) are telling us today that Moses didn't write the Books! And the proof for this is that countless times in the first 5 Books, you read: “And the LORD said unto Moses, and Moses said unto the LORD...” (All are written in the 3rd person.)

Furthermore, Jewish Scholars tell us today that Jewish Prophets didn't write their obituaries. However, in the Bible, we read:

“And there Moses died in the land of Moab.” / Deut 34:5

It says “died” in the past tense! The Bible continues and says:

“And no man knows his sepulchre unto this day. And Moses was 120 years old when he died.” / Deut 34:6-7

3: Pornography.

From the Book of Ezekiel, chapter 23, we read about the whoredoms of the two sisters; Oholah and Oholibah. It is speaking metaphorically about Samaria and Jerusalem, but the language used is horrendous! I challenge anyone to read it to his congregation/mother/sister (etc.) from the New International Version. (NIV) Especially the following verse:

“There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission (flow of semen) was like that of horses.” / Ezekiel 23:20 from the NIV.

Does it make sense to you that God Almighty would describe the sizes of their sexual organs in such a graphic way? Can you truly believe in your heart that this is the Word of God?

4: 25,000 Manuscripts.

Concerning the “Gospels”, Christians claim that there are over 25,000 manuscripts of the New Testament alone. However, Christian scholars today tell us that no two are alike!
The Gospels are titled: “The Gospel according to St. Matthew”, “The Gospel according to St. Mark”, “The Gospel according to St. Luke”, “The Gospel according to St. John”. So, I am asking, what is this “according to”? Why “according to”? Any other book in the world says: “By so-and-so”; it doesn't say: “According to so-and-so”. Then why all this “according to”?
It is because Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John didn't sign their names! These are anonymous Books! And they are attributed to God! Thus this is not the Injeel. We Muslims believe in the Gospel of Jesus; what he preached, and not the “Gospel of Matthew/Mark/Luke/John”, and then again, according to! Did Jesus have a Book under his arm? No! Whatever he preached was from God, and that is what we believe in. If the Christians can produce a document called: “The Gospel of Jesus”, we Muslims would be very happy to give it a recognition; to find out, and verify if it is from God, but right now what we have is Matthew/Mark/Luke/John. Even the Christians scholars of the highest eminence say that Matthew didn't write Matthew! Look at Matthew 9:9 for example, which clearly indicates that a 3rd person saw Jesus meet a man called Matthew, and told him to get up and follow him.

5: How about Contradictions?

**********************************************

Afala Yata-dabaroon-Al-Qur'an Walaw Kana Min ,Indi
Ghayr Ellah Lawajadoo Feehi Ikhtilafan Katheera

“Do they not consider the Qur'an with care? Had it been from anyone other
than Allah/God, they would have found in it many contradictions.”

Holy Qur'an, Surah An-Nisa' (4), Verse 82

**********************************************
The Qur'an is not been discussed in this forum, but this is what the Qur'an says; that any book claiming to be from God will be free from discrepancies/contradictions. Unfortunately, such is not the case for the Bible, as it has countless contradictions in both the Old and New Testament.

For example, between Matthew and Luke, we are given over 2 different fathers and grand-fathers to Jesus Christ. They are separate lists, and the Christians claim that one is the genealogy of Mary, and the other is the Genealogy of Jesus. I ask, why of Mary? Does the Book say that? No! The Book says this is the genealogy of Jesus Christ, and the other one ends with Jesus Christ. There is no Mary inside! Over 100 names, and only a few are identical! And the father of Jesus Christ, whom the Christians claim to be God Almighty, is only in one of them, not both! Can you imagine that? God dictating the Genealogy of His Son – in inverted commas – and yet He leaves Himself out of one! He is going out of His way to dictate two Genealogies, and He is not to be found in one of them!

So I am asking: What is He trying to tell you? A man who has no genealogy and was born miraculously is given over 100 fathers and grand-fathers, and then they say this is what God dictated. We Muslims take exception to this type of handling to this mighty Messenger of God.
The Holy Qur'an has made over 1.87 billion Muslims believe today (without any proof from the Christians), that Jesus Christ was born miraculously, that he was the Messiah, that he gave life back to the dead by God's permission, as well as heal those born blind, and the lepers, by God's permission.

6: Calling out the witnesses.

In any confrontation, the first thing we must do is bring forth the witnesses. The Noble and Holy Qur'an tells us:

**********************************************

Wa Qaloo Lan Yadkhula Al-Jan-nata Illa Man Kana Hudan Aw Nasara
Tilka Amaneyoohoom Kul Hatou Burhanukum In Kuntum Sadikeen

“And they say: 'None shall enter Paradise unless he be a Jew or a Christian.'
Those are their vain desires. Say: 'Produce your proof if ye are truthful.'”

Holy Qur'an, Surah Al-Baqara (2), Verse 111

**********************************************

Thus, the Qur'an is telling us to ask for proof for any kind of claims been made. This is common sense; you cannot simply believe any of the things been said to you without any kind of proof that can be used as verification.

As I mentioned earlier, people still dispute on which Bible they will use. There have been long debates in the Christian world on this topic. In general, people say that there is only one Bible. However, this is not the case, as can be easily proven by opening up the following Bibles to compare:

King James Version, Douay Rheims Catholic Bible, New Revised Standard Version, and Good News Bible.

When I say that the Bibles are different, I do not only mean the number of Book written within, but also the text itself from even the same versions of the Bible!

For example, in the RSV 1952, we find that the longer ending of Mark (verses 9-20) is missing, yet in the RSV 1971, this longer ending was restored to the text! (1971 RSV preface)

In the very first verse of the Bible, from the Book of Genesis, we find the following:

“In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth” / Genesis 1:1 – King James Version.

However, in the 5th Major revision of the KJV (also known as the New King James Version), it reads the following:

“In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth” / Genesis 1:1 – New King James Version.

Why the addition? Didn't God (allegedly) say:

“For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book.” / Revelations 22:18 (any Bible)

Now, my question: Which scholar has the right to change by adding or deleting something from the Bible? Another example is plagiarism; in the Bible, we have Isaiah 37, which is a word-for-word identical chapter to 2 Kings 19.

It is obvious, by reading these two chapters of the Bible, that whoever wrote Isaiah 37 stole from 2 Kings 19. For example, if two men wrote a report about the same incident, they would most likely write the same things, but with differences in the style of writing, as well as the description itself. It is impossible for two people to write about the same thing, and to have the exact same word-for-word verses!

Hans Kung, a known professor of Dogmatic and Ecumenical Theology, and Director of the Institute of Ecumenical Studies at Tubingen University in West Germany, was one of the select group of official Theologians appointed by the Council of John Pope himself. Known as the “Young protégée of modern Theology”, he said (quote):

“Nowhere do the Books of the New Testament claim to have fallen directly from Heaven; on the contrary, often enough they quite candidly emphasize their human origin (Luke 1:1-3 is especially revealing on the origin of the Gospels).”
And here is what it says:

“Inasmuch as many have taken in hand to set in order a narrative of those things which have been fulfilled among us, 2 just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word delivered them to us, 3 it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus,” / Luke 1:1-3

Luke the physician is clearly telling us that his inspiration didn't come from God, but by other people who had written before him. Then again, in Luke chapter 3 we find the following:

“Now Jesus himself began his ministry at about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, the son of Heli,” / Luke 3:23

If Luke was inspired by the Holy Spirit, then the Holy Spirit didn't know exactly how old Jesus was!

7: Weird names.

Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim, Pathrusim, Casluhim / 1 Chr 1:11-12

As strange as it may seem, not a single person I have met in my life has ever heard these weird names, and even stranger not even the Palestinians themselves have heard of them, even though these are (supposedly) the names of the forefathers of Palestine!

8: The Bible doesn't identify itself.

In the vast number of pages within the 66 Books of the Protestant Bible, as well as the 73 Books of the Roman Catholics, as well as many other various versions of the Bible, the word “Bible” doesn't even exist! The word “Bible” is a concocted word from the Greek word “Vivlos”, which means “Book”. Even in the whole Bible, nowhere does the Bible say that it is the Book of God Almighty.

9: Absurd Stories.

Not only absurd, but also half told!

The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. 53 They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus’ resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many people. / Matthew 27:52-53

So basically, the Bible is telling us that these people (saints) came out of their graves, in various states of decomposition, and walked the streets of Jerusalem, and appeared to many. Ok, so what next? Nothing! That's it! End of story! Now, my question is simple: If such an important happening had indeed taken place, then why does only Matthew record it?

I, for example, in the summer of the year 2002, helped the Police arrest a villain who had attempted to kill the Prime Minister of Greece. Within the next few hours, it became world news! I received calls from the United States, the Middle East, etc. However, a happening of such great importance of saints coming out of their graves is unknown to all the other 26 Books of the New Testament! No-one else even heard about it!

10: Weird Incidents.

#1 After Ehud came Shamgar son of Anath, who killed six hundred Philistines with an ox-goad, and saved (delivered) Israel. / Judges 3:31

A young Jewish lad killed 600 men with a stick used to prod cattle? Does this make sense?

#2 Finding a fresh jawbone of a donkey, he grabbed it and struck down a thousand men. 16 Then Samson said, “With a donkey’s jawbone I have made donkeys of them. With a donkey’s jawbone I have killed a thousand men.” / Judges 15:15-16

Do I really need to comment on this one?

#3 So he went out and caught three hundred foxes and tied them tail to tail in pairs. He then fastened a torch to every pair of tails, 5 lit the torches and let the foxes loose in the standing grain of the Philistines. He burned up the shocks and standing grain, together with the vineyards and olive groves. / Judges 15:4-5

Now, first of all, how did he manage to catch 300 foxes in the open? Second, where did he find 300 foxes in Palestine? How did the foxes co-operate? To say they did is highly absurd!

11: Weird verses:

Before the reader begins with this section, I would like to apologize for the following verses, but remember that I am only quoting the Bible itself! I urge all those who have doubts of the following content to check up these verses on their own, and make up their own minds if such absurdities should truly be in the (alleged) Book of God.

A: Rape.

In the Bible, we find detailed stories of how to rape even your own sister if you want to!

So Amnon lay down and pretended to be ill. When the king came to see him, Amnon said to him, “I would like my sister Tamar to come and make some special bread in my sight, so I may eat from her hand.” 7 David sent word to Tamar at the palace: “Go to the house of your brother Amnon and prepare some food for him.” 8 So Tamar went to the house of her brother Amnon, who was lying down. She took some dough, kneaded it, made the bread in his sight and baked it. 9 Then she took the pan and served him the bread, but he refused to eat. “Send everyone out of here,” Amnon said. So everyone left him. 10 Then Amnon said to Tamar, “Bring the food here into my bedroom so I may eat from your hand.” And Tamar took the bread she had prepared and brought it to her brother Amnon in his bedroom. 11 But when she took it to him to eat, he grabbed her and said, “Come to bed with me, my sister.” 12 “Don’t, my brother!” she said to him. “Don’t force me. Such a thing should not be done in Israel! Don’t do this wicked thing. 13 What about me? Where could I get rid of my disgrace? And what about you? You would be like one of the wicked fools in Israel. Please speak to the king; he will not keep me from being married to you.” 14 But he refused to listen to her, and since he was stronger than she, he raped her. / 2 Samuel 13:6-14

B: Gang Rape.

Absalom said to Ahithophel, “Give us your advice. What should we do?” 21 Ahithophel answered, “Lie with your father’s concubines whom he left to take care of the palace. Then all Israel will hear that you have made yourself a stench in your father’s nostrils, and the hands of everyone with you will be strengthened.” 22 So they pitched a tent for Absalom on the roof, and he lay with his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel. / 2 Samuel 16:20-22

Now, if you ask me, that is even better than going to a porn movie...

Not a single word of redemption.

One day Samson went to Gaza, where he saw a prostitute, and went into her / Judges 16:1

What did God do to punish him? What is the moral standard/example being given here? Absolutely nothing! And this is the reason why today we have light and hard porn all over the non-Muslim countries, in films, series, etc.

C: Mockery of God Almighty.

The Bible depicts God almighty as a barber!

#1: In that day the Lord will use a razor hired from beyond the River—the king of Assyria—to shave your head and the hair of your legs, and to take off your beards also. / Isaiah 7:20

The Bible depicts God as an angry dragon!

#2: Smoke rose from his nostrils; consuming fire came from his mouth, burning coals blazed out of it / 2 Samuel 22:9

The Bible says that God rides on little Angel girls!

#3: He rode on a cherub, and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind / 2 Samuel 22:11

Palestinians used as foreskin fodder!

“David and his men went out and killed two hundred Philistines. He brought their foreskins and presented the full number to the king so that he might become the king’s son-in-law. Then Saul gave him his daughter Michal in marriage.” / 1 Samuel 18:27

D: God asking for 32 virgins for Himself.

(Moses) “Have you allowed all the women to live?” he asked them. 16 They were the ones who followed Balaam’s advice and were the means of turning the Israelites away from the LORD in what happened at Peor, so that a plague struck the LORD’s people. 17 Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.”... 35 “and 32,000 women who had never slept with a man.” 40 “16,000 people, of which the tribute for the LORD was 32.” / Numbers 31:15-18,35,40

E: Did anyone see God, or not?

(God) “You cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” 21 Then the LORD said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. 22 When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.” / Exodus 33:20-23

vs.

#1: The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. / Exodus 33:11
#2: So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, “It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.” / Genesis 32:30

F) Is everything possible with God or not?

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” / Mark 10:27

vs.

The LORD was with the men of Judah. They took possession of the hill country, but they were unable to drive the people from the plains, because they had iron chariots. / Judges 1:19

12: Paul says that all Scripture is given from God.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” / 2 Timothy 3:16

In this test we conclude that all scripture (meaning the entire Bible) is the word of God. Thus, the Bible must be your doctrine (your teaching), your reproof (to express your criticism and censure), and your correction (in your lifetime dealings) for instruction and righteousness.

Now, I am asking, where does this test fit into the “Book of God” when it is filled with rape, racism, hate, incest, and pornography in general?

As mentioned earlier, Sampson goes to Gaza and goes into a harlot (Judges 16:1); this is supposed to be in the Book of God! Thus, under the test that 2 Timothy 3:16 gives to us,
where does it fit in? Is this the Biblical doctrine, that, when you go to some place and you see a harlot, you go into her? Is this the proper teaching of righteousness?

What about reproof? Was there any reproof given by God Almighty when this incident happened? Did God even threaten Sampson that He will put him in Hell for such a foul deed? Nothing of the sort!

I urge people to read the Bible with a critical eye and discover for themselves the things which are not supposed to be there, like the other example of Judah committing incest with his daughter-in-law by the road side (Genesis 38), and she becomes pregnant and gives birth to twins, Pharez and Tamar, whom the Bible testifies to be the great grand-fathers of Jesus Christ! Can you imagine that? The two children of incest are the great grand-fathers of Jesus!

13: Mockery of God's Intelligence.

1 Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. 2 As people moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there. 3 They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the Heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole Earth.” 5 But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. 6 The LORD said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.” 8 So the LORD scattered them from there over all the Earth, and they stopped building the city. 9 That is why it was called Babel – because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole Earth / Genesis 11:1-9

First, in this passage we clearly see that God confused the people to stop them from building their tower. Thus, God is the author of confusion. However, in 1 Cor 14:33, it says:

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people / 1 Cor 14:33

Thus, we already have a contradiction here, but this is not the only issue with this Biblical passage! The chapter tells us that a group of men decided to settle in a plain in an area called “Shinar”, and decided to make a tower that will reach Heaven, so that they would make a name for themselves. And here is the other interesting part...

The next verses say that God thinks that “nothing is impossible for man”, which is a clear insult to God Almighty, the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, and everything in between. The reason is because it is depicting our Creator of not knowing what His own Creation's true capabilities, and worse, this “God” - as the Bible portrays Him – has to “go down”, meaning to leave Heaven, and go closer to see what man is doing, because He is not capable from seeing their actions from “up there”. When “God” discovers that nothing can stop man from reaching Heaven, He confuses them so that they wouldn't be able to finish their work. This is highly absurd for a good number of reasons. This story is supposed to have happened thousands of years ago, when man had very limited resources, like mud and stones. Today, in the 21st Century, man has zero chances of reaching Heaven, and that is with spaceships! Now, does it make sense to you that man could have reached Heaven back then? Plus there is also the question of how were these men supposed to have survived once they would have breached the Earth's atmosphere? It truly makes you wonder...

1. This is not how you reason with the Christian.

2. They probably already know.

3. You have quoted the Old testament 99% of the time. They only believe in the Old testament when it favors their own personal beliefs.

4. Keep it small. A link would have been easier.

5. You seem new at these kinds of debates/discussions. What you read does not equate to an instant time-to-post this.

6. The post almost seems like an attack. Also not a good idea.
